About Joel Jenkins
Hi, I’m Joel. I’m a Leo, born at the tail end of the 1970s. I love making sure people around me are comfortable and having a good time. I love laughing and making people smile–it’s the only way to live! I’ve been working in photography for over six years and have been fortunate to photograph a variety of people and events.
Along with photography my hobbies include: website design, stunt-kite flying, traveling, SCUBA diving, golfing, Toyota Land Cruisers, and anything Apple. I love Indian food and Charlie Chows. My favorite movies include: anything Pixar, Back to the Future, and the always-good Band of Brothers.
In early 2009 I completed all three courses of Photographing People taught by International Master Photographer Kenneth Linge at his International School of Photography in Orem, Utah. In November 2009 I completed INTSOP’s Wedding School, also taught by Kenneth Linge.
My beautiful wife Alicia and I live in Lehi, Utah. We were married in August of 2010 and are enjoying life together. We love to go on cruises, play games with friends, and just spend time with each other. Alicia is also a photographer and is a great assistant and second photographer. She is also a very crafty person and sells some of her goods on Etsy.
For those who are interested, I shoot Canon EOS Professional Digital SLR cameras with Canon L-series lenses. I use a combination of studio strobes, hot shoe flashes, and reflectors to help control lighting. I strive to always use the best equipment for the job.
